Okta was designed to be expressive of the Willamette Valley landscape and two-Michelin Star Chef, Matthew Lightner's tasting menus. The interior supports the concept of distinct dining experiences and highlights varied textures & craft. The front lounge is defined by built-in sofas and drapery suggestive of the misty cloud cover of the Willamette Valley, while the dining room is organized around a massive basalt boulder, a grounding element in the open floor plan. Smoked oak wood, bluestone pavers, and hand troweled plaster walls display time honored materials which will wear in and patina overtime. Emily led the interior design for Okta while at Hacker Architects.
